Erasmus Mundus is offering a master scholarship which is aimed to students from all over the world with a Bachelor's degree (BA) in Film Studies, in Arts or in Media Communication studies. It provides the rare privilege of bringing together, for some time, a close community of people from diverse cultures and varied backgrounds, individual voices and particular visions.
Eligibility Criteria:
The Academic Board of DOC NOMADS is looking for students who are:
- active, enthusiastic, and curious
- creative, supportive, and capable of team work
- resilient, tolerant and open to criticism
- socially minded, empathetic, and ethically aware
- seeking artistic independence and a personal voice
Benefits:
- Tuition fees up to € 4500 per year per scholarship holder from a Programme Country
- Contribution to the travel costs
Required Documents:
- Application Form.
- CV and motivation letter are each limited to 1000 characters (including spaces).
- Authorised, stamped or certified copies of your previous Bachelor degree(s) translated to English.
- Certified copies of an English language certificate.
- A link to the FILM made for the application
- Upload to YouTube or similar a 3-minute film purposely made by you for the application, under the topic 'I see, I hear, I film', with English subtitles embedded in the video, even if spoken in English.
- The film shall underline a strong relationship with the surrounding reality.
- It shall focus on characters or places, and show a creative personal cinematic concept.
- The film has to be shot and edited by the applicant.
- No additional music, sound effects or video effects.
- A link to the applicant's previous/additional film.
- Upload to YouTube (or similar) either a whole or part of one film previously made by you
- (max. 9-minutes in length), with English subtitles, and credits (mandatory).
- One recent photo of yourself.
- Copy of passport with expiration date.
A residence certificate issued within 12 months before the submission deadline of the application OR a certificate from the candidate's place of work, study or training issued by the employer or institution in question.
