University of East Anglia is offering The Siren Associates Scholarship, that is a newly established one-year scholarship being offered to a Lebanese applicant who has applied for a place on the MA Conflict, Governance and International Development in the School of International Development at UEA.
Siren Associates is a not-for-profit organisation that works across the Middle East on a range of security sector and public sector reform programming. Based in Lebanon and Jordan, they design and implement projects that bring about positive change in the systems, processes and capabilities of civil security and broader public sector institutions.
The aim of the scholarship is to provide financial support and the opportunity of an international educational experience to a talented and motivated student who is interested in these issues and who can demonstrate a clear wish to build their career in this sector in Lebanon post-graduation.
The opportunity for a paid internship with Siren Associates in Beirut will be offered to the successful scholar, and may be taken either as a Development Work Placement module during the one year of study, or immediately after the completion of the course. This will be by interview with Siren Associates.
