<p>The University of Otago in New Zealand is offering 10 scholarships for international students to study <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Master" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>Master&nbsp;</strong></a>of Finance for the first semester in February 2020. The scholarships are awarded on academic merit, as decided by the Department of Accountancy and Finance, as the program is 12-month masters qualification consisting of seven taught papers plus a written project, designed for people seeking a career in the finance industry or for financial specialists in non-financial firms. The Otago Business School&#39;s Department of Accountancy &amp; Finance offers the Master of Finance degree for students who wish to gain advanced financial skills and knowledge, while also enhancing their career prospects.</p><h3><strong>About the Program:</strong></h3><p>The Master of Finance is a coursework master&rsquo;s degree consisting of taught papers and either an applied or research project, which will equip you to be either professional practitioners in the field of Finance or academic researchers in the discipline of Finance. This qualification is designed for people seeking a career in the finance industry or for financial specialists in non-financial firms. The study options within the degree are designed to offer a number of pathways for you depending on your academic background and career aspirations. The primary pathway is for strong graduates of mathematically-oriented degrees such as mathematics and statistics, physics and economics. Applicants with a mathematically oriented degree and normally with an average grade of B+ in the papers satisfying the final year major subject requirement for that degree are encouraged to apply.&nbsp;</p><h3><strong>Eligibility Criteria:</strong></h3><ol><li>International students with an <a href="https://www.for9a.com/en/opportunity/category/Scholarships/Bachelor" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><strong>undergraduate&nbsp;</strong></a>degree in either Finance, Maths, Engineering, Physics or Economics, with grades equivalent to a NZ B+ average (GPA 3/4), and who meet the University of Otago&#39;s English Language requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>No deferrals allowed.</li><li>To be eligible to be awarded the scholarship, students must have an unconditional offer (including meeting English language requirements) by 5 pm, 31 October 2019 (NZ time).
