Opportunity description
Charles Darwin University (CDU) in Australia is offering undergraduate and postgraduate international students the opportunity to apply for CDU Global Leader Award, especially those with a record of academic excellence and high achievement. The scholarships are awarded on demonstrated academic merit and are available to students seeking to commence a degree at CDU in Semester 1, 2020.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must have a 70-100 percentile score on the application, submit two references and a statement outlining why they should be awarded a scholarship.
- Must meet the University’s academic and English entry requirement.
- Should not hold any other scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsorship agency.
- Must not hold current Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident or a New Zealand Citizenship.
- Must have submitted a completed scholarship application by 15 November 2019 for commencement in Semester 1, 2020.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester with a minimum GPA of 4.5 with no fail grade in any subject.
- Maintain a full-time enrollment of 40 credit points each semester of study or as per your study plan.
- Pay the remaining balance of your tuition on or before the start of each semester; the tuition fee scholarship will be credited directly to your student account up to two weeks after census date each semester.
- The scholarship is neither transferable for cash nor refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, semester, course or year.
- Students are required to inform CDU Global via email international@cdu.edu.au of any visa status changes immediately as this may result in a termination of the scholarship.
- The Global Leader Award is very competitive and meeting the minimum eligibility standards described above does not guarantee that you will be awarded a scholarship.
- All applicants who meet the minimum eligibility standards will be included in the selection process. The decision of the University selection panel is final.
Scholarship Amount:
The tuition scholarships apply to the tuition fees for the full duration of an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree covering 25% for the first year of study and 10% ongoing.
