Opportunity description

The University of Cambridge, in the UK in partnership with Schlumberger Cambridge Research Limited, is offering the Schlumberger Cambridge Scholarships to students from developing countries including but not limited to students from Nigeria and other African Students who are looking to pursue a course of research leading to the degree of PhD. The Schlumberger Cambridge Scholarships award is only available to PhD students in subjects relevant to the work of the Schlumberger Gould Research Centre in Cambridge. 

Benefits

The scholarship will normally cover up to:

  • The University Composition Fee at the appropriate rate;
  • A maintenance allowance sufficient for a single student.


Eligibility criteria

  • Anyone applying for this scholarship must be from a developing country including Nigerian/African students and must be admitted to Cambridge through the University’s normal academic procedures. They must apply to a phD research program in technological and scientific subjects offered at the university;
  • Must have a first-class or second-class upper honors degree, or its equivalent, from a recognized university.
  • Those who are not native speakers of English are required by the Board of Graduate Studies to provide the results of an English Language test and to meet the minimum standard of proficiency required for admission to Cambridge.
