  2. Duration: up to a maximum of 30 minutes
  • Sony Impact Award for Current Affairs
  1. This Award recognises the work of freelance journalists working in long-form current affairs video/film that examines a single issue, story or situation and has an impact on the viewer, policy or public awareness.
  2. Duration: up to a maximum of 60 minutes

About Rory Peck Awards:

Rory Peck was one of the most skillful and respected freelance cameramen of his generation, who captured some of the most enduring news images of the late twentieth century. The Rory Peck Trust was set up in memory of Rory in 1995 by Juliet and a group of close friends to provide support for the families of freelance camera operators. The Trust has since grown into an international organisation that supports all freelance news gatherers.
