Opportunity description

Tariqi project aims to increase the employability of young graduates and increase their competitiveness to enter the labor market through training programs aimed at providing them with life skills, functional and technical skills, and internship to reach employment within companies in specific sectors.
The project has been implemented since 2015 through a strategic cooperation and partnership agreement between the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) and the Prince's Trust International Foundation, and implementation cooperation agreements with LOYAC and the Business Development Center (BDC).

Objectives:

The project aims at raising the employability of young Jordanian graduates by developing their skills and abilities and giving them practical experience through:

  1. Life skills training.
  2. Technical skills training.
  3. Internship.
  4. Employment (50%) of participants.

Target sectors:

  • Information and communications technology (ICT).
  • Insurance.
  • Banking and health.
  • Retail sales.
  • Hospitality.

Terms of Application:

* ICT Sector:

  1. Must be Jordanian.
  2. Must be a graduate of the university (minimum bachelor degree).
  3. Must be aged (21-27).
  4. Must have no work, or have a part-time or full-time job, and have the desire to change his work within one year of submitting the application.
  5. Have the motivation to work full-time in the ICT sector.
  6. Must be a resident of one of the central governorates (Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba).

* Insurance, Sales and Logistics Sector (Customer Service, Sales, Logistics):

  1. Must be Jordanian.
  2. Must be a graduate of the university (minimum bachelor degree).
  3. Must be aged (21-27).
  4. Must have no work, or have a part-time or full-time job, and have the desire to change his work within one year of submitting the application.
  5. Have the motivation and ambition to work full-time in Insurance, Sales, and Logistics Sectors.
  6. Must be a resident of one of the central governorates (Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba).

* Retail Sector (Sales and Customer Service):

  1. Must be Jordanian.
  2. Must be a graduate.
  3. Must be aged (18-25).
  4. Must have no work, or have a part-time or full-time job, and have the desire to change his work within one year of submitting the application.
  5. Have the motivation and ambition to work full-time in the Retail Sector.
  6. Must be a resident of one of the central governorates (Amman, Balqa, Zarqa, Madaba).
