Opportunity description
The National Mental Health Programme is looking for a professional translator to translate the program’s Code of Conduct from English to Arabic, making sure to maintain the document’s original meaning, format, and tone.
The Translator Responsibilities:
- Reading and thoroughly understanding the context of the given material.
- Converting 12 pages of written text from the English language to Arabic.
- Using specialized dictionaries and translation tools.
- Ensuring translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
- Proofreading the translated text for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
- Following up with internal stakeholders to ensure the translated materials meet their needs.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation or a similar field.
- A keen eye for detail and be fluent in at least two languages.
- Proven work experience as a translator or a similar role.
- Time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent writing skills and command of grammar.
- Enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge.
- Ability to work independently.
