Volunteer Online with the UN: Translate the National Mental Health Programme’s Code of Conduct from English to Arabic

The National Mental Health Programme is looking for a professional translator to translate the program’s Code of Conduct from English to Arabic, making sure to maintain the document’s original meaning, format, and tone.

The Translator Responsibilities:

1. Reading and thoroughly understanding the context of the given material.
2. Converting 12 pages of written text from the English language to Arabic.
3. Using specialized dictionaries and translation tools.
4. Ensuring translated content conveys original meaning and tone.
5. Proofreading the translated text for grammar, spelling, and punctuation accuracy.
6. Following up with internal stakeholders to ensure the translated materials meet their needs.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Translation or a similar field.
2. A keen eye for detail and be fluent in at least two languages.
3. Proven work experience as a translator or a similar role.
4. Time-management skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Excellent writing skills and command of grammar.
7. Enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge.
8. Ability to work independently.

The National Mental Health Programme translates internally developed materials for the purpose of spreading information, knowledge, and ideas within the program. Translators are required to provide ready-to-use translated content that meets the National Mental Health Programme’s internal needs.
