Volunteering Opportunity with Children and Youth in Poland from European Youth Portal

The European Youth Portal, in cooperation with ANAWOJ, invites active and independent individuals who like working with kids and the youth and wish to realize his/her own small projects to apply for a volunteering opportunity in Poland. The life condition in Poland is simple with wooden houses heated by stoves, so the volunteer should be sure that he/she wants to live in those simple conditions. It will be a total of 20 weeks during the period between August 2018 to July 2019. 

Responsibilities and tasks include:

[1] Assisting in coordination of youth exchange projects and international work camps
[2] Assisting in organization, preparation and creating of different kinds of seminars, workshops and trainings on regional, and international level
[3] Assisting in office work (especial correspondence, public relations, updating of the homepage and local web-forum, edition of newsletter, creation of posters and information sheets etc.)
[4] Organization of outdoor activities for children (in summer camps, forest activities or on playground)
[5] Assisting and conducting environmental activities for children in nature and forest
[6] Conducting "European workshop" in school, kindergarten and therapy center for disabled people

Requirements include:

[1] The volunteer should be interested in working with kids and youth and need to have the ability to take initiative
[2] Skills in graphic design and making movies/videos are welcome
[3] The volunteer should be open to live in a small village (3,000 inhabitants). The next big city is 40km far and can be reached by local busses

Benefits:

Accommodation will be provided for the volunteers in a town that has cottages in really simple conditions. In addition to that, volunteers will be able to gain experience by working with children and youth in a beautiful environment.
