Opportunity description
The World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program in association with Joint Japan invites students with a bachelor’s degree from developing countries and with relevant professional experience in development to apply for scholarships to their master’s program. The areas of study are in development, including economic policy management, tax policy, and infrastructure management. The bachelor’s degree must have been earned at least 3 years prior to applying. Applicants must have 3 years or more of recent development-related work experience and must be employed in the same area in a paid full-time position. Applicants must also be admitted for the upcoming academic year to at least one of the preferred university master’s programs located outside the applicant’s country of citizenship or residence. After earning the degree, applicants are expected to return to their home country to use their new skills and contribute to the social and economic development.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly living stipend, round-trip airfare, health insurance, and travel allowance.
