An Opportunity to be Featured in the Flatness Film Awards for Short Films

Flatness Film Awards (FFA) is an international independent film festival, committed to sharing great stories from both new and established international and domestic filmmakers from the world of independent cinema.

Thousands of films are made every year, but very few of these films meet with the audience and are rewarded. One of the features that make this festival different is that it will bring your film to audiences from many countries.

FFA will select and award films every season and provide further marketing, distribution, and online screening platforms for award winners through its partners in media. FFA's aim is to draw wider attention to valuable filmmakers and to provide an independent platform for appreciative and informed discussion of their work with a unique vision.

FFA screen films from around the world and honors emerging filmmakers from every language, gender, religious, ethnic, and cultural perspective. There are no restrictions of any kind, except for duration.

FFA awards the following Prizes:

• Best Fiction
• Best Documentary
• Best Animation
• Best Director
• Best Director of Photography
• Best Starring
• Best Audience Award

• The individual or entity submitting the film hereby warrants that it possesses the legal right and authority to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts the terms contained herein.
• Films must have been completed within the past five years.
• All genres are accepted with a maximum length of 40 minutes or less.
• There is no premiere status requirement for films that would like to enter the competition.
• Any foreign film that is not in English must have English subtitles. Dialogue lists are not accepted.
• Works in progress will NOT be accepted.
• No postal submissions accepted.
• The festival won’t pay any fees to films that enter the competition.
• Judges are free to make their own choices and no answers will be given about not-selected films.
• No film may be withdrawn from the festival program after it has been selected. Judging decisions are final.
• Submitting your movie, you authorize The Flatness Film Awards(FFA) to use, distribute and share the film poster, trailer, synopsis, and movie stills on their website and social media.
• Entrant further represents and warrants that the submission adheres to the fundamental spirit of the competition and does not contain any defamatory, obscene, or unlawful matter.
• Filmmakers are responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses, royalties, release forms, clearances, and permits necessary to present their work. The Flatness Film Awards(FFA) is not responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, or royalty infringement related to the work. If your work is accepted into the festival, FFA must be able to screen it without any encumbrances whatsoever.
• The management can take decisions on issues not mentioned in this set of rules.
• Submission of an entry to the festival signifies that the entrant understands, accepts, and agrees to these conditions.

Selection Criteria:

Your film will be reviewed by a screener team and all the highest scored films will be selected for the official competition and will be reviewed by at least three judges who will decide the best of each quarter. Winners will be chosen by the international jury and receive Winning-Category Laurels and Certificates.

Only the special spectators who buy tickets will watch your movie and vote for the "Best Audience Awards”. Flatness Film Awards guarantees all the Official Selections will be broadcast on the festival tv network with private viewers. You will also have the chance to win the "Best Audience Award" among other awards.
