The Architects of Tomorrow Special Contest is promoted by THE PLAN as part of THE PLAN award. The subject of the contest is theses for three and five-year bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in architecture, building engineering/architecture, and industrial design. Theses from bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in architecture, building engineering/architecture, and industrial design defended after 1 January 2020. Participation in the contest is subject to the payment of an enrolment fee, which is payable per project and not per participant. Enrolment fee (including VAT) per project:
- Regular Prize: 01/02/2022 - 31/03/2022 → Euro 75.00.
- Late Prize: 01/04/2022 - 31/05/2022 → Euro 100,00.
Benefits
- The awarding of the prizes for the winners of the Architects of Tomorrow Special Contest will form part of the awards ceremony for THE PLAN AWARD 2022.
- The winning groups and those receiving mentions will be invited to the official awards ceremony for THE PLAN award. All the winners and those receiving mentions in each category will receive a 1-year subscription to THE PLAN for free. The winning projects in each category will also receive a 1-year complimentary subscription to THE PLAN Journal scientific publication and a 3-month internship at one among the professional practices of the Jury’s members.
- N.B. Should the winner be from a group, the group leader indicated during enrolment for the contest will be offered the internship or, if he or she does not take up the offer, another member of the group that he or she designates.
Eligibility criteria
Theses from bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in architecture, building engineering/architecture, and industrial design defended after 1 January 2020 in the following subjects:
- Architectural design.
- Urban planning.
- Infrastructure design.
- Technology, materials innovation, and sustainability.
- Landscape design Industrial and interior design.
- Submissions can be presented individually or as groups.
