Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) offers partially funded master's scholarships for 24 months in the August 2022 Semester which is generously funded to collaborate closely with top industries and universities domestically and internationally. The research program concentrates on sustainable and green technology. For that, AIT is currently looking for excellent a total of three master's applicants to get the research assistant scholarships in the following majors:
- Energy
- Food Engineering and Bioprocess Technology (FEBT)
- Environmental Engineering programs (EEM)

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- First-class (honors) bachelor’s or GPA 3.0 from reputed Universities.
- Both academic and industry experience.
- Sound understanding of the wider energy landscape beyond your area of expertise.
- English proficiency score (IELTS-Academic: 6 (writing and overall) or AIT EET ≥ 6.0, TOEFL ≥ 550).
- Capable of working within a project team to achieve innovative results.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present results in technical reports, and prepare scientific papers for publication in international refereed journals.
- Experience in the following fields will be a plus:
- Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Big Data Analytics, and Blockchain.
- Energy Technology, Clean Technology, Smart Cities etc.
- Founding start-up company.
- Specific Requirements for Energy Area:
- Exceptional coding ability in programming tools such as Matlab, Python etc.
- Experience in design and modeling tools or other electrical power system analysis.
- Hardware Experience/Knowledge on Converters, prototype development.
- Specific Requirements for FEBT Area:
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, and/or similar relevant subjects.
- Specific Requirements for EEM Area:
- Bachelor's degree in biochemical or chemical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, public health science, or related applied sciences.
- Capable of programming and experience in the design and modeling of wastewater treatment systems.
- Experience/Knowledge on controls of bioreactor.
Responsibilities:
Your Responsibilities will be mainly:
- Carry out innovative research in the field of sustainable development which will lead to commercial prototypes or products.
- Act as a bridge between both industry needs and academic research objectives in order to bring about highly structured and well-defined solutions to industrial problems.
- Expected to initiate and contribute to the writing of proposals and other external funding streams.
