Opportunity description

The CEWE Photo Award is considered one of the largest free photography competitions in the world. It is open to amateur and professional photographers from around the globe. The competition is held under the theme “Our world is beautiful” and aims to showcase the beauty of the world through photos that reflect nature, people, travel, culture, daily life, architecture, sports, and abstract photography.

Available Categories

Participants can submit their photos under 10 main categories:

  • Nature and Wildlife.
  • Animals.
  • Landscapes.
  • People.
  • Architecture.
  • Sports and Action.
  • Travel and Culture.
  • Street Photography.
  • Close-up and Macro Photography.
  • The World in Abstract / Abstract Photography.

Prizes

  • The total prize value exceeds €250,000 and includes more than 1,000 prizes.
  • Prizes include:
  • First Place: a photography trip worth €10,000, a photography equipment voucher worth €5,000, and a CEWE product voucher worth €2,500.
  • Second to Tenth Places: photography equipment vouchers worth €5,000 and CEWE product vouchers worth €2,500 for each winner.
  • 11th to 30th Places: photography equipment vouchers worth €2,500 and CEWE product vouchers worth €1,000 for each winner.
  • 31st to 1000th Places: CEWE product vouchers worth €100 for each winner.

Eligibility criteria

  • The competition is open worldwide.
  • Both amateur and professional photographers can participate.
  • Photographers using cameras or smartphones are eligible to participate.
  • There is no specific nationality requirement.
  • Each participant can submit up to 100 photos free of charge.
  • Photos must be related to the competition theme: “Our world is beautiful.”
  • There is a special Young Talent Award for young photographers.
