The Civilizational Communication Award is an annual national award that aims to encourage and honor national and international initiatives and achievements that contribute to promoting the values of moderation, coexistence, tolerance, civilizational communication with others, and the preservation of national identity.
The award targets government entities, civil society organizations, international non-profit organizations and institutions, the private sector, and individuals who have presented work, programs, or initiatives with a clear impact in strengthening the values of dialogue and civilizational exchange and enhancing the positive image of the Kingdom.
Award Objectives
Contributing to the achievement of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Highlighting efforts that promote the values of moderation, tolerance, and coexistence.
Enhancing civilizational communication with the world.
Improving the external image of the Kingdom.
Preserving national identity and strengthening social cohesion.
Spreading a culture of intellectual and human dialogue and civilizational exchange between cultures.
Motivating government entities, the private sector, civil society organizations, and individuals to support initiatives that promote the values of the award.
Award Categories
The award includes five categories:
Civilizational Communication Award for Government Entities.
Civilizational Communication Award for Civil Society Organizations.
Civilizational Communication Award for International Non-Profit Organizations and Institutions.
Civilizational Communication Award for the Private Sector.
Civilizational Communication Award for Individuals.

- Government entities that have contributed to promoting the values and concepts of the award.
- Civil society organizations that have implemented or supported initiatives related to civilizational communication, tolerance, and coexistence.
- International non-profit organizations and institutions, provided that they have a headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Private sector institutions that have participated in supporting or implementing programs with an impact in the field of the award.
- Individuals, including citizens and residents in Saudi society, who have presented distinguished and innovative works that promote the values of the award.
- According to the King Saud University Awards platform, the nominee category includes: faculty member, researcher, and employee.
Award Dates
- Opening of nominations: February 18, 2026.
- Nomination deadline: July 2, 2026.
- Screening of submissions: July 19, 2026.
- Start of the judging committees’ work: August 16, 2026.
- Announcement of winners: August 26, 2026.
- Award ceremony honoring the winners: September 16, 2026.
