Essay competition For Kid on Hope and prizes worth of $150

Kids World Travel Guide invites you to the 6th annual essay competition - Theme: "Hope". The pandemic has taught us a lot and though there are still dark days ahead, we all know that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. We know that one day we can travel and explore again but for now we have to keep our families and environment safe and so we continue to travel only in our dreams and hope for a better world once this pandemic has passed. 

Let's explore and share our hopes and dreams, tell each other about favourite places and spaces that make us happy! Let's tell others what we want them to know about our how we live together peacefully, care for each other and watch out for our environment. What is your hope for a better world? What are your hopes for yourself, your family, your country or our planet?

There are so many different aspects of hope. Choose one of the essay options to tell us about what hope means for you. 

Once we share our insights, learn from each other, look out for each other, this planet will be a better place! So let the sunshine in!

• Each of the category winners (8-11 years/ 12-15 years) will receive a book voucher of US $50. The runner-up in each category will win a travel book prize worth $25.
• The best essays in each category of the writing competition will be published on Kids-World-Travel-Guide.com and thus will be seen by thousands of visitors! The winning essays are also great publicity for your school, so let your teacher or headmaster know about this valuable and free opportunity to spread the word.

Junior Category: 8 - 11 years

• Essay length: minimum 300 words - maximum 500 words

Senior Category: 12 - 15 years:

• Essay length: minimum 300 words - maximum 500 words
• The essay may include the following topics:

1. About my happy space
2. My hopes for the future
3. My favourite quote
4. Message of hope
5. My dreams, my hopes, my future
6. Possibilities, dreams and hopes
7. Inspirational people: biography of an idol
8. Inspirational places
9. Inspiring traditions and customs
10. Idols, inspirational people and extraordinary achievements 
11. Listing of positive facts about your country
12. Tips for happiness: What people can do to be more happy
13. Random acts of kindness
14. Life in the country of my dreams
15. The future of my country
16. A better world for all

• The essay has to be submitted in English, but may include words or phrases in a foreign language (with comments and translations, please).
• Writing Competition Entry Fee: None. Only online entries on separate writing competition form are accepted.
