Filmmakers Program by the Saudi Film Commission to Develop Filmmaking Talent

The Filmmakers Program aims to empower national talent and develop participants’ skills across various areas of filmmaking, with a focus on the latest tools and technologies, including artificial intelligence applications in film production.

The program also seeks to improve the quality of local cinematic content, strengthen Saudi Arabia’s presence in the film industry, nurture participants’ passion for filmmaking, and expand their professional knowledge and expertise.

The program includes the following categories:

• Masterclasses.
• Specialized workshops.
• Artist residencies.
• Online workshops.
• In-person workshops.

• Training delivered by experts and specialists in the film industry.
• Participation in in-person and virtual workshops, masterclasses, and artist residencies.
• Development of skills across multiple areas of filmmaking.
• Exposure to modern technologies, including artificial intelligence applications in the film industry.
• Professional development to prepare participants to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s film sector.
• Access to the program’s partnerships with specialized international institutes and universities.

Applicants must:

• Be a Saudi citizen, the child of a Saudi mother, or the spouse of a Saudi citizen.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have an intermediate or higher level of English for programs delivered in English.
• Commit to attending the training sessions on schedule.
• Actively engage with trainers and fellow participants.
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
