The Hertie School in Berlin, Germany, is an independent private institution specialized in governance, public policy, international affairs, and data science. It offers graduate programs (Master’s and PhD) and is known for attracting students from over 95 countries, with English as the main language of instruction. The school aims to prepare leaders capable of understanding the present and shaping the future.
The Hertie School provides a number of fully funded scholarships covering 100% of tuition fees for selected Master’s programs. These scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence, personal fit, motivation, and financial need. They do not cover living expenses.

Master of Public Policy (MPP): Digital Governance Scholarship, Climate Action Scholarship, Central and Eastern Europe Scholarship, etc.
Master of International Affairs (MIA): International Security Policy Scholarship, Human Rights Scholarship, etc.
Master of Data Science for Public Policy (MDS): Data for Good Scholarship
Application Deadlines
Application deadlines for MPP, MIA, and MDS programs:
Early Bird: 1 December (admitted students receive a €2,000 tuition discount)
Priority deadline for non-EU applicants: 15 January
Priority deadline for EU applicants: 15 February
Final deadline: 10 June

Eligibility criteria
Submit an admission application for one of the Master’s programs (MPP, MIA, or MDS) within the set deadlines.
Receive an admission offer first, then apply for the scholarship within two weeks via a separate funding form.
