Sawiris Foundation offers 10 scholarships for Egyptian high school students with disabilities to obtain their undergraduate degree from one of the prominent universities in Egypt. The scholarship aims to provide excellent educational opportunities to students with disabilities that would enhance their job market skills.
Participating Universities:-
- American University in Cairo.
- Arab Academy for Science Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT).

- Living allowance.
- Training courses for students during the academic years.
Eligibility criteria
- To be an Egyptian national residing in Egypt (preference will not be given to dual nationality holders).
- Recent graduates from high school (Thanaweya Amma) or its equivalents with a minimum score of 85%.
- To submit a certified medical proof of disability.
- The scholarships are awarded based on financial need as well as merit and character.
- demonstrated through academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and social behavior.
About Sawiris Foundation:-
The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development (SFSD) was established in 2001 with an endowment from the Sawiris Family as one of the first national donor foundations in Egypt. Since its establishment, SFSD focused on addressing the most pressing issues facing the most marginalized Egyptians such as poverty, unemployment, provision of health services, and little access to quality education. Over the past 18 years, SFSD has succeeded in funding and delivering programs aimed at achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, in partnership with the governmental and private sectors, as well as civil society.
