Eligibility criteria
To apply for the programme, applicants must:
- Hold a 4-year Honours Bachelor’s degree.
- Have a degree in Mathematics, or in Science or Engineering with a strong mathematical background.
- Achieve an overall academic average of at least 78% or equivalent.
- Applicants with a strong academic record but some gaps in their applied mathematics background may still be admitted and may be required to complete additional courses.
- Have research interests that align with the department’s research areas.
- It is strongly recommended to contact a potential academic supervisor before submitting the application.
- Provide proof of English language proficiency if required.
- For the IELTS Academic, applicants must achieve an overall score of 7.0, with at least 6.5 in Writing and Speaking.
