Opportunity description
The German Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen – ifa) offers professionals and volunteers working in Syrian civil society organizations the opportunity to participate in the CCP Fellowship 2027 for Syria, part of the CrossCulture Programme. The fellowship aims to develop professional competencies, strengthen international cooperation, and promote the exchange of knowledge and experience among participants and organizations from around the world.
The fellowship provides participants with the opportunity to spend two to three months in Germany or one of the partner countries, where they join host organizations to work in new professional environments and explore different approaches to managing community initiatives and projects. Participants also take part in training workshops, specialized meetings, and activities that promote networking and intercultural exchange.
Each year, the program welcomes 50 to 60 participants from more than 40 countries. It seeks to build an international network of civil society professionals and empower them to acquire the skills and experience needed to enhance their professional performance, strengthen their organizations' capacities, and implement initiatives that create a positive impact in their local communities after completing the fellowship.
