Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Tunisia, has opened applications for the position of Assistant.e suivi de l’apprentissage – Learning Monitoring Assistant, based in Tunis, under a full-time national volunteer assignment for 12 months, with an expected start date of October 19, 2026.
This opportunity is part of UNDP’s efforts to support continuous learning, knowledge management, and improve the impact of programs and projects. The volunteer will contribute to documenting lessons learned, supporting report and content preparation, organizing activities and meetings, and following up on the implementation of portfolio initiatives.
The assignment is supported by the Embassy of Switzerland in Tunisia through an initiative implemented in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers programme to promote youth inclusion, with particular attention to the inclusion of young people with disabilities. Eligible candidates from this group are therefore strongly encouraged to apply.
Benefits and Funding
The assignment provides a range of allowances and benefits, including:
- A monthly living allowance of TND 1,879.74.
- A one-time entry allowance of USD 350.
- A relocation allowance of USD 175 at the beginning and end of the assignment if the duty station is outside the normal commuting distance, subject to UNV assessment.
- Health, life, and disability insurance.
- Health insurance coverage for up to 3 eligible dependents.
- 2.5 days of annual leave for each month of service.

- An end-of-service allowance of USD 120 for each month of service upon successful completion of the assignment.
Duties & responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting tools and approaches related to learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
- Contributing to the collection, organization, and updating of databases related to lessons learned, case studies, and good practices.
- Preparing notes, reports, presentations, and documents related to program activities.
- Improving the visual presentation and overall quality of outputs, including preparing simple materials and graphics.
- Supporting the organization of workshops, meetings, and events.
- Contributing to follow-up and coordination with various entities and stakeholders involved in the initiatives.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 60 years old.
- Be a Tunisian citizen, legal resident in Tunisia, or hold refugee status in Tunisia.
- Have at least one month of relevant experience, according to the vacancy announcement.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Social Sciences.
- Psychology.
- Development Studies.
- Economics.
- International Relations.
- Or a related field.
