Opportunity description

The opportunity is designed for young people interested in education and working with children and teenagers. The school follows an alternative educational model based on self-directed learning, independence, and democratic participation.
The school welcomes approximately 30 students aged 6 to 18, who learn in mixed-age groups and participate in deciding what they want to learn and how they want to learn it, while meeting official educational requirements.
Volunteers will support students during educational activities and school trips and contribute to developing new projects and ideas. This provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in alternative education, self-directed learning, and working with children and young people in an international educational environment.

Shared accommodation with other young people and volunteers in Villingen-Schwenningen, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
A monthly food allowance, with the amount not specified in the announcement.
A free public transport pass for travel throughout Germany.
Weekly German language lessons at a local adult education center.
Participation in on-arrival and mid-term training during the volunteering period.
Ongoing professional support and regular reflection sessions to evaluate the experience and develop skills.
Practical experience in alternative education, self-directed learning, and working with children and teenagers.
The opportunity to develop your own educational projects and participate in an international cultural experience.
