Opportunity description

Stichting Cultined is offering one of the funded international volunteering opportunities under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) through the Yatra project, which will take place in Tetouan and Martil, Morocco, from November 7 to 22, 2026, bringing together young people from different nationalities.

The 16-day program aims to promote community engagement, cultural exchange, and solidarity among young people through participation in local volunteering initiatives and group activities in cooperation with local residents and youth.

The project also gives participants the opportunity to develop communication and teamwork skills and gain greater self-awareness through training and mentoring sessions led by experienced facilitators. Accommodation, meals, and travel cost reimbursement are provided in accordance with the program conditions.

Benefits

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Participate in community initiatives: Support local activities and projects in Tetouan and Martil, and collaborate with local youth and residents to carry out volunteering activities that benefit the community.

  2. Promote cultural exchange and cooperation: Take part in group activities and interact with volunteers from different cultural backgrounds, helping strengthen solidarity, mutual understanding, and respect.

  3. Participate in training and personal development: Attend preparatory and mentoring sessions and take part in daily reflection activities led by trainers to develop personal and social skills.

  4. Commit to teamwork and evaluation: Contribute actively to project activities, follow safety procedures and organizational guidelines, and participate in the final evaluation to document the experience and skills gained.

Eligibility criteria

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.

  • Have the motivation and willingness to participate in volunteering activities and community service.

  • Be ready to work within an international team and collaborate with other participants and local residents.

  • Be interested in learning about different cultures and open to new experiences.

  • Be willing to participate in practical activities, training sessions, and evaluation activities.

  • No previous volunteering experience is required.

  • Basic knowledge of English is considered an advantage, but it is not mandatory.

  • Young people with fewer opportunities are particularly encouraged to apply.
