Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) has opened entries for its 2026 international awards, a competition dedicated to travel photography and open to photographers from around the world.
The competition covers a wide range of travel-related themes, including journeys and adventures, cultures and traditions, landscapes and cities, wildlife, marine life and birds, street photography, people, nature, and black-and-white photography.
Participants can compete through single images or Portfolio submissions, with separate categories also available for emerging talent and young photographers.

Eligibility criteria
- The competition is open to photographers from all countries worldwide.
- Amateur and professional photographers aged 19 or older may enter the Portfolio and One Shot categories.
- The Rising Talent Award is intended for amateur and semi-professional photographers; professional photographers are not eligible for this category.
- The Young Travel Photographer of the Year category is open to photographers aged 18 or under.
- The youth competition is divided into:
- 14 years old or under.
- 15 to 18 years old.
- Images generated wholly or partially using artificial intelligence are not accepted.
- Images taken with digital or film cameras are accepted, and film photographs may be digitized for submission.
