HOBAN Cultural Foundation offers the AI ART AWARD – NEXT ART AI 2026, an international competition open to artists and creators of all nationalities, ages, and professional backgrounds, focusing on artworks created using Generative AI technologies.
The competition aims to explore new forms of artistic expression at the intersection of art and artificial intelligence, encouraging participants to use AI tools creatively to produce original works that reflect their own artistic vision and ideas.
Participants may enter in two main categories:
AI IMAGE ART: For image-based artworks.
AI VIDEO ART: For video works, including animation, motion graphics, and live-action footage created or modified using artificial intelligence.
Benefits
The total prize pool is KRW 21 million, distributed among 20 winners, and includes:
Grand Prize: KRW 5,000,000.
First Prize in the Image category: KRW 2,000,000.
First Prize in the Video category: KRW 2,000,000.
Second Prizes worth KRW 1,000,000 each.
Distinguished finalist awards worth KRW 500,000 each.
HOBAN Group President’s Award: KRW 1,000,000.
Certificates and trophies for the winners.
Exhibition of the winning works through online and in-person exhibitions.
Promotion of the winning artists and their works on the competition’s official platform.
Eligibility criteria
The competition is open to everyone, with no restrictions on nationality, age, or professional background.
Applicants may also:
Apply individually or as part of a team of up to 3 people.
Participate if they are under 19 years old, provided they submit a signed parental consent form.
Use free or paid AI tools, editing software, and external resources, provided they hold the necessary licenses for commercial use.
