The International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards has opened entries for its 13th edition in 2026, one of the leading international photography competitions and awards dedicated specifically to landscape photography.
The competition welcomes both professional and amateur photographers from around the world, offering them the opportunity to compete for cash prizes and recognition through individual images or a complete portfolio of work. The awards focus on creativity, technical skill, and the ability to present landscapes through distinctive artistic and visual perspectives.
The top 101 images are selected for publication in the competition’s official annual book. Major winners also receive cash prizes and trophies, providing photographers with an international opportunity to gain recognition and showcase their work to a global audience.

The total value of the cash prizes is USD 12,500.
International Landscape Photographer of the Year
- First Place: USD 5,000 + trophy + featured presentation in the annual book + a printed copy of the book.
- Second Place: USD 1,000 + trophy + publication in the book + a printed copy.
- Third Place: USD 500 + trophy + publication in the book + a printed copy.
International Landscape Photograph of the Year
- First Place: USD 2,000 + trophy + featured presentation in the book.
- Second Place: USD 1,000 + trophy + publication in the book.
- Third Place: USD 500 + trophy + publication in the book.
There are also five special awards, with each winner receiving USD 500, a trophy, and publication in the annual book:
- Black and White Award
- Seascape Award
- Snow and Ice Award
- Cloud Award
- Night Award
Eligibility criteria
- The competition is open to photographers from all around the world.
- Both professional and amateur photographers may participate.
- Images must be captured using a real camera.
- AI-generated images are not accepted.
- Submitted photographs must have been taken on or after January 1, 2021.
- Post-processing is allowed, provided that the participant performs the editing themselves.
- Composite images are permitted, subject to the competition rules.
- There is no maximum limit on the number of images that may be submitted.
Entry Fees
- The entry fee is USD 25 per image.
- For entries submitted by October 24, 2026, participants receive every fifth image entry free of charge.
- There is no maximum limit on the number of images that may be entered.
- From October 25 to October 31, 2026, the fee remains USD 25 per image, but the free fifth-image offer no longer applies.
