AMKE KENTRO NEON IPEIROU is offering one of the funded international volunteering opportunities for a period of 6 months in Ioannina, Greece, under the European Solidarity Corps programme. The project focuses on supporting unaccompanied minor asylum seekers and promoting their integration into the local community.
The opportunity allows volunteers to engage directly in youth and refugee support work by planning and delivering non-formal and informal educational activities for male adolescent asylum seekers aged 14 to 17, helping support their education, well-being, and social skills development.
Volunteers also contribute to raising awareness about asylum and integration issues by creating diverse digital content, including articles, photography, videos, podcasts, and research, while also participating in preparatory and evaluation meetings and other activities related to refugee inclusion.

Duties & responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver non-formal educational activities for adolescent asylum seekers.
- Organize activities that support integration, learning, and social interaction.
- Participate in weekly preparation and evaluation meetings.
- Create digital content related to:
- Asylum.
- Integration.
- Refugee and migrant issues.
- Contribute through:
- Article writing.
- Photography.
- Video production.
- Podcasts.
- Research.
- Help raise awareness within the local community about issues affecting asylum seekers.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 22 and 30 years old.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be able to work independently and take a high level of responsibility.
- Be willing to research, propose, and regularly implement activities.
- Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and the ability to work within an international team.
- Have previous experience in one of the following two areas:
- Academic studies in a social sciences field, combined with experience or volunteering in youth work and non-formal education.
- Experience working or volunteering with young asylum seekers or refugees.
- Experience in digital content creation is considered a strong advantage.
