The Islamic University of Madinah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announces the availability of scholarships for international students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at one of the leading Saudi universities that attracts students from around the world.

The university offers two types of scholarships for non-Saudi students: full scholarships, which are designated for international students residing outside the Kingdom, and partial scholarships, which are designated for non-Saudi students residing inside Saudi Arabia with a valid legal residency permit. These scholarships aim to enable academically qualified students to study in a comprehensive university environment that combines academic education, student support, and cultural exchange.

This opportunity is suitable for students who wish to study Sharia, Arabic, humanities, science, engineering, computer science, or language-related majors in Madinah.

Eligibility criteria

  1. The applicant must have a high school certificate or its equivalent from inside or outside the Kingdom.
  2. For admission to scientific-track colleges, the high school certificate must be in a scientific specialization.
  3. No more than 5 years must have passed since obtaining the high school certificate or its equivalent.
  4. Applicants for the full scholarship must not be residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  5. The applicant must be of good conduct and character.
  6. The applicant must be at least 17 years old and no more than 25 years old.
  7. The applicant must not have been dismissed from another university for disciplinary reasons.
  8. The applicant must not have received another scholarship from any educational institution inside Saudi Arabia.
  9. The applicant must attach a certificate of no criminal record from the security authorities in their country.
  10. The applicant must obtain a recommendation from an organization, institution, or academic figure in their country.
  11. The applicant must be medically fit.
  12. The applicant must pass any tests or interviews announced by the university.
  13. The applicant must pledge to comply with the rules and regulations of the country and the university.
  14. For admission to the College of the Holy Quran, the applicant must have memorized the entire Holy Quran and pass the designated test.
  15. For partial scholarship applicants, proof of the employer’s approval to study at the university must be provided if the applicant is employed.

  3. A copy of the original passport.
  4. A copy of the original birth certificate or age estimation certificate.
  5. A certificate of no criminal record from the security authorities in the applicant’s country.
  6. A medical report confirming that the applicant is in good health and free from diseases and disabilities.
  7. Two academic recommendations from a recognized organization, institution, or academic figure.
  8. A recent and clear personal photo.
  9. Proof of English language proficiency for applicants to scientific colleges, if required.
