The LOEWE Foundation has opened applications for the tenth edition of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027, one of the world’s leading international competitions and awards dedicated to contemporary craft and applied arts. The prize aims to recognize craftspeople who combine exceptional technical skill, artistic vision, and innovation in the use of materials and traditional techniques.
The competition welcomes applications from professional craftspeople worldwide, including applicants from Arab countries, across a wide range of disciplines such as ceramics, jewellery, glass, textiles, wood, leather, metal, furniture, paper, and bookbinding. Submitted works must be original, unique, and made either entirely or partially by hand, while presenting a contemporary and innovative interpretation of traditional craftsmanship.
This opportunity is considered one of the most prestigious global competitions and awards for craftspeople and creative professionals. Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- Be professional craftspeople.

- Submit an original work made entirely or partially by hand.
- Submit a work completed within the past five years.
- Ensure that the work is unique and not mass-produced.
- Submit a work that has not previously won an award.
- Demonstrate artistic intent alongside technical excellence.
- Present a contemporary and innovative interpretation of craft traditions.
