Opportunity description

LUT University in Finland offers financial support to international students admitted to English-taught master’s programs through an Early Bird discount on first-year tuition fees and an academic scholarship for the second year.

This opportunity is intended for students who are required to pay tuition fees, including applicants from most Arab countries. The standard tuition fee for master’s programs at LUT University is approximately €15,000 per academic year. Eligible students receive a €5,000 discount during the first year and an additional €5,000 scholarship for the second year if they achieve the required academic progress.

This opportunity is suitable for students seeking partially funded master’s scholarships in Finland. However, it is not classified as a fully funded scholarship because it does not cover the full tuition fees or expenses related to accommodation, living costs, travel, or health insurance.

This funding structure applies to two-year master’s programs at LUT University. Joint programs and double-degree programs may have different funding policies, which applicants should review on the official page of the selected program.

Benefits

The financial support includes the following benefits:

  • An Early Bird discount of €5,000 on first-year tuition fees.
  • A reduction in first-year tuition fees from €15,000 to €10,000.
  • A LUT Scholarship worth €5,000 for the second academic year.
  • A reduction in second-year tuition fees from €15,000 to €10,000 upon meeting the scholarship requirements.
  • Total savings of up to €10,000 over the two-year master’s program.
  • Automatic application of the first-year discount when the student accepts the study place and pays the tuition fees by the specified deadline.
  • Automatic application of the second-year scholarship when the student meets the academic progress requirements and pays the remaining tuition fees.
  • The opportunity to study in an international master’s program in technology, business, social sciences, or communication sciences.
  • The opportunity to earn a 120-ECTS master’s degree, which usually takes two academic years to complete.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Apply to an eligible international master’s program at LUT University.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the selected program or be in the final year of undergraduate studies.
