Opportunity description

The Lutfia Rabbani Foundation, in cooperation with the Leiden University Fund, offers the Leiden University Fund – Lutfia Rabbani Foundation Scholarship to outstanding students from Arab countries who wish to pursue a master’s degree at Leiden University in the Netherlands. This opportunity is considered one of the most valuable funded master’s scholarships available to Arab students, as it provides substantial financial support to help recipients continue their studies at a prestigious Dutch university.

The scholarship aims to support academically distinguished Arab students who demonstrate a strong commitment to promoting dialogue and cooperation between the Arab world and Europe. It is awarded annually to one student from an Arab country who has been admitted to an eligible master’s programme at Leiden University, making it a highly competitive partially funded scholarship in the Netherlands.

The scholarship provides up to €30,000 for one academic year and may be used to contribute toward tuition fees and other study-related expenses. Despite the high value of the award, Leiden University states that the scholarship may not cover all costs associated with studying in the Netherlands. Applicants should therefore secure additional funding for travel, accommodation, and other living expenses.

Benefits

  • Financial support of up to €30,000 for one academic year.
  • A contribution toward tuition fees at Leiden University.
