The Social Development Center “NAMA” in Qatar has launched the third edition of the Social Entrepreneurship Award 2026, which aims to support young people and individuals with ideas and projects that offer innovative solutions to social challenges, encouraging them to transform their ideas into initiatives and ventures that are practical, sustainable, and scalable.
The award includes two main tracks: Best Social Entrepreneurship Project Idea and Best Existing Social Enterprise, in addition to a dedicated competition for secondary school students.
Applications are evaluated based on factors such as the clarity of the social problem being addressed, how well the proposed solution responds to community needs, the expected scale of impact, the project’s feasibility, sustainability, and scalability, and its ability to achieve measurable results.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 18 years old or older.
- Be a Qatari national or a resident of Qatar, depending on the category requirements.
- Have a feasible social entrepreneurship project idea or an existing social enterprise.
- For the Best Existing Social Enterprise category, the project must have been operating for 3 years or more.
- The idea or project must address a clear social challenge or community need.
- The project must demonstrate a clear and measurable social impact.
- The idea or project should be sustainable, developable, and scalable.
- Applicants must complete all evaluation requirements, including a personal interview for categories where it is required.
