Northeast Agricultural University (NEAU), located in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, is a prestigious institution included in China’s “Project 211” for top universities. It offers a wide range of programs from undergraduate to doctoral studies in fields such as agriculture, engineering, sciences, economics, management, and law. The university hosts several colleges and research institutes specializing in agriculture and environmental studies.
The Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC Scholarship) is funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and supports international students pursuing Master’s or Doctoral degrees at NEAU. It provides full financial coverage, including tuition, accommodation, health insurance, and a monthly stipend. The scholarship aims to strengthen academic cooperation between China and other countries and to attract academically outstanding international students to study in China.
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted by March 15 each year for the following academic year.
All required documents must be uploaded through both the CSC platform and NEAU’s international admissions system before the deadline. Late applications are not accepted.

Eligibility criteria
Must be a non-Chinese citizen.
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree when applying for a Master’s program, or a Master’s degree when applying for a Doctoral program.
Age limit: under 35 years for Master’s applicants and under 40 years for Doctoral applicants.
Must have an excellent academic record and strong research potential.
Must be in good physical health and not currently receiving another scholarship of the same type.
