Opportunity description
The United Nations Volunteers program announces an online volunteering opportunity to support visual design efforts for the International Volunteer Year 2026 (IVY 2026). This opportunity aims to help National Focal Points prepare visual materials that can be used in campaigns, events, webinars, and social media posts.
Volunteers will work on designing templates and visual communication materials that can be edited and used by national teams in different countries, contributing to strengthening the visibility of volunteer work and highlighting its role in achieving sustainable development.

Duties & responsibilities
- Design 3 to 5 visual materials to support the activities of National Focal Points within IVY 2026.
- Prepare editable templates for social media posts, presentations, event banners, and informational materials.
- Adapt the designs to suit different platforms and sizes.
- Ensure that the materials are visually clear, easy to use, and suitable for an international audience.
- Adhere to the visual identity guidelines of UNV and IVY 2026.
- Collaborate with the IVY coordination team to incorporate feedback and revisions.
- Organize the design files and create a simple library of visual materials for future use.
- Participate in an orientation session if needed.
Eligibility criteria
- The applicant must have an educational background or experience in one of the following fields:
- Graphic Design.
- Visual Communication.
- Media.
- Communications.
- Digital Design.
- Any related field.
- The applicant must have experience using design tools such as:
- Canva.
- Adobe Creative Suite.
- Figma.
- Or similar tools.
- The applicant must be able to turn ideas and concepts into clear visual materials.
- The applicant must have a good understanding of applying visual identity guidelines consistently.
- The applicant must be able to manage more than one design request and meet deadlines.
- The applicant must be able to collaborate remotely with international teams and organizations.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in Croatian is an additional advantage.
