Ann Foundation Inc announces an online volunteering opportunity to support the development and improvement of its website, with the aim of updating old content and making the website more engaging and user-friendly.

Through this opportunity, the foundation seeks to improve the website’s visual design, user experience, performance, and technical functionality in a way that reflects its mission to support education and empower children, youth, people with disabilities, and underprivileged communities around the world.

The volunteer will review the current website, identify technical issues and areas for improvement, implement approved updates, improve page loading speed, ensure compatibility with different browsers, and document all changes during a 12-week volunteering period.

Duties & responsibilities

  1. Conduct a comprehensive review of Ann Foundation’s current website.
  2. Update outdated content and make the website more engaging.
  3. Implement improvements to the visual design and user experience.
  4. Develop the website using clean, testable, and efficient code.
  5. Fix technical issues identified during the website review.
  6. Improve page loading speed and overall website performance.
  7. Ensure the website is compatible with different browsers.
  8. Implement the agreed improvements according to priorities.
  9. Provide regular progress updates every two weeks.
  10. Document all implemented changes and improvements.

Eligibility criteria

  1. The applicant must have at least 2 years of experience in website development or programming.
  2. The applicant must be proficient in front-end technologies such as:
    1. HTML.
    2. CSS.
    3. JavaScript.
  3. Experience in server-side languages and technologies is required if applying for a Full-Stack role.
  4. The applicant must have strong problem-solving and technical debugging skills.
  5. The applicant must be able to improve the website structure and performance.
  6. Knowledge of version control systems is required.
  7. Fluency in English is required.
  8. The applicant must be committed to working professionally, responding to messages in a timely manner, and communicating clearly with the team.
  9. The applicant must have an interest in supporting education for underprivileged children and communities in need.
