UN Volunteer is looking for online volunteers to help Community Development And Sustainability Organization (CDS) in Writing Grant Proposals for programs Human Rights in Kenya.
CDS Kenya is a growing organization that works for community development, promotion of better opportunities, improving standards of living, and assist the social sector. CDS needs support to develop a grant proposal for the CDS Kenya organization, to raise the necessary funds to help CDS Kenya to implement its project to empower women and girls with Human Rights in Kenya.
CDS expects the volunteer to:
- Draft the donor proposal.
- Remind the staff at the organization to follow up on the grant status once CDS has submitted it to the donor.
However, the volunteers are prohibited from contacting potential donors or their personal contacts on behalf of the organization or submitting any proposal. Direct supervision will be given by the Project Director, and additional Zoom, Google meet, WhatsApp meetings will be organized when it is necessary. The detailed requirement will be shared electronically upon selection.
Eligibility criteria
CDS would like to engage someone with a really good academic and professional background, has at least past experience in writing successful grant proposals, has a full understanding of challenges in developing countries especially Kenya. Willing to research on statistics to back up proposal. Willing to have a scheduled WhatsApp, google meet meetings at least once a week. Tasks will be split among each volunteer per proposal and there will be a team leader guiding.
