Opportunity description
The World Health Organization (WHO) announces a national UN Volunteer opportunity in Tunisia under the title Travel Quality Specialist, within the Meetings and Travel Services team. The opportunity aims to support the review and approval of expense reports and travel transactions, while ensuring compliance with the organization’s approved travel policies and procedures.
This opportunity is suitable for those interested in administration, finance, operational support, travel, logistics, and transaction review, as well as those who wish to gain practical experience in a United Nations work environment.

- Verify supporting documents and ensure that submitted travel claims are complete.
- Identify errors, missing documents, or policy-related exceptions, and communicate the required corrections.
- Assist in reviewing travel requests and related transactions when needed.
- Support invoice matching activities and carry out travel quality assurance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Duties & responsibilities
- Review and approve expense reports in accordance with WHO travel policies and procedures.
- Verify supporting documents and ensure that submitted travel claims are complete.
- Identify errors, missing documents, or policy-related exceptions, and communicate the required corrections.
- Assist in reviewing travel requests and related transactions when needed.
- Support invoice matching activities and carry out travel quality assurance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and correctly apply policies and procedures.
- Good organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a large volume of transactions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team and adapt to a multicultural work environment.
Eligibility criteria
- The applicant must be between 18 and 60 years old.
- The applicant must be a citizen, legal resident, or recognized refugee in Tunisia.
- The applicant must have at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in administration, finance, travel support, or operations is required.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Working knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
- The minimum required educational qualification is secondary education.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or travel management tools is preferred.
- Previous experience with WHO or a United Nations agency is preferred.
