Partially-Funded Masters Scholarship for Egyptian students in Different Displines

The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt is accepting applications for the eighth cycle of the Next Generation Scholars (Master’s Scholarship) Program for the year 2021, Prof. Samia Al-Tamtami batch. Program fields are: Health and medicine (personal, precise and molecular medicine, clinical pharmacy and genetics, clinical and preclinical research - new methods of drug delivery), basic sciences (mathematics, physics, geology and biology) and converging sciences (biotechnology - nanotechnology - bioinformatics - biophysics), applied sciences (environment, agriculture, food and nature conservation), engineering sciences (new and renewable energy, desalination and water treatment, rationalization and storage of energy, green construction and clean production), computer science (scientific computation - big data processing - artificial intelligence - cyber security -...), studies future (demographics - climate change - future of energy, water and food - desertification - forecasting and risk management), social sciences, arts and literature (animation, identity, folk and cultural heritage - science fiction), and economics (science, technology and innovation policies, technology development and marketing, investment risks, intellectual property), and all fields of the industry (provided that a letter is obtained from the company explaining with the research point or research, development and innovation that the company seeks to implement n order to develop its products or increase its competitiveness). And the company will not bear any financial cost, provided that the commitment and the real objective to benefit from scientific research and its applications to advance the national industry and support local manufacturing).

1. A monthly compensation of 4000 L.E. for the duration of the scholarship (30 months)
2. The Academy allocates for each student a grant of a maximum of 100,000 L.E. in form of support for a master’s thesis. The support is used to purchase chemicals and materials needed for research, analyses and questionnaires, registration fees in public universities, training at home or abroad for a short period with guarantees and prior approvals from the Academy, attending international conferences, and costs of publishing research in prestigious journals Q1, Q2
3. A compensation for a supervisory allowance for the student’s supervisors, which is disbursed after the discussion, and the value of the supervisors’ remuneration combined does not exceed 20000 L.E. from the university and the research center
4. Student who receives the scholarship shall refund the exam expenses and the cost of any qualifying English language courses, with a maximum of 20,000 L.E.

1. A graduate of an Egyptian university and have obtained a bachelor's degree from a university recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities, minimum GPA: very good.
2. graduates of the last three years (2019, 2020, 2021).
3. Not a beneficiary of a scholarship or scholarship from any other party.
4.  The applicant's age should not be more than 30 years.
5. Performing military service, exempted, or deferred (for males).
6. Priority is given according to the cumulative GPA, and in the case of equality, the differentiation in the same field will be according to the practical experience in the field subject to study, proficiency in the English language and obtaining training courses in the field of specialization.
7. The scholarship is not an appointment or commitment from the academy or the state to appoint and does not include the costs of living or transportation for the student from his place of residence to the place of study.
8. Dedication for the scholarship.

 Required documents:

1. Curriculum vitae with a recent photo attached.
2. A copy of the national ID card A copy of the BA or BA certificate and a copy of the detailed certificate (the cumulative GPA of not less than 75% is very good)
3. A valid TOEFL score of no less than (430) or IELTS of no less than 5.5
4. A letter of recommendation from one of the supervising professors in the field explaining the professor’s relationship with the student and the proposed topic for registration for the master’s degree in one of the announced fields and his/her agreement to supervise the student within a supervisory team in accordance with the regulations and controls. The professor may not grant letters of recommendation to more than one student
