Opportunity description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking 3 National UN Volunteers to serve as Record Compliance Assistants in Beirut, Lebanon. For a duration of 3 months (with the possibility of extension), volunteers will support the LAF Livelihood Ecosystem Project. The role involves reviewing and verifying school registration documents, student enrollment, and tuition invoices to ensure children of Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) service members receive educational support.


* Please note this is a FREE opportunity with no application, processing, or training fees. A monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) of USD 1,606.58, plus a hazard differential of USD 481.97, medical insurance, and other benefits are provided.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Support the collection and review of documentation packages received on students and schools (registration documents, proof of enrollment, tuition invoices).

  • Maintain updated databases of verified schools, eligible students, and their documentation status.

  • Monitor data quality, conduct validation exercises, and flag inconsistencies with the project team.

  • Coordinate with relevant colleagues and stakeholders to resolve documentation issues and obtain missing files.

  • Validate tuition amounts against approved school fee schedules to ensure compliance.

  • Support the preparation of the final master list of eligible beneficiaries for finance/payment processing.

  • Assist in maintaining records and preparing audit-ready documentation in line with organizational policies.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be a national, legal resident, or hold refugee status in Lebanon.

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or related fields.

  • At least 3 years of professional work experience in administrative and finance support or other relevant programmes.

  • Fluent in both Arabic and English.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and database management.

  • Experience in auditing or working with the UN/international development organizations is an asset.

  • Accuracy and professionalism in the review of documentation, with excellent interpersonal skills.
