The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is offering an exciting virtual volunteering opportunity in collaboration with Action Lab For Development Association in Canada to support the MoralityCode project, which aims to promote awareness of AI ethics and responsible digital behavior.
Volunteers will contribute to the production of educational and awareness-raising content that helps users understand the importance of ethical technology and artificial intelligence use. Responsibilities include developing educational videos and writing informative scripts that explain how the MoralityCode application works and how it promotes human values and digital responsibility. This opportunity allows volunteers to work entirely online for 12 weeks as part of a diverse international team.

Duties & responsibilities
Video Production Track
- Create short educational videos demonstrating how to download and use the MoralityCode application.
- Appear on camera to provide practical demonstrations of the app’s features and functionality.
- Edit and enhance video content, including the integration of screen recordings and visual elements.
- Collaborate closely with the content writer to ensure alignment between scripts and visual content.
Content Writing Track
- Write scripts for educational and promotional videos.
- Develop awareness messages focused on technology ethics and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
- Create clear and accessible content suitable for audiences of different age groups.
- Coordinate with the video production team to refine scripts based on visual presentation requirements.
Eligibility criteria
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in video editing using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia, iMovie, or similar software.
- Ability to produce high-quality, short educational videos.
- Strong writing and editing skills for educational and awareness-focused content.
- Ability to work effectively within a remote and collaborative team environment.
- Interest in technology ethics, artificial intelligence, and digital safety.
- Experience with screen recording tools and visual content production is considered an asset.
