Opportunity description
The Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation announces the opening of applications for the Cultural Grants Program 2026, a program that aims to support cultural, knowledge-based, and creative projects in Jordan and Palestine. The program supports individuals and institutions in the fields of arts, literature, heritage, culture, scientific activities, debates, and youth forums, with the aim of strengthening the cultural and knowledge scene and expanding access to culture and knowledge.
Applications open on February 1, 2026, and continue until September 30, 2026.
Grant Fields
- Performing arts, such as theatre and music.
- Audiovisual arts, such as films and educational animations.
- Cultural activities and festivals.
- Projects for preserving cultural heritage, stories, customs, and traditions.
- Artistic and literary spaces, such as writing workshops, poetry, photography, murals, and art therapy.
- Support and development of public libraries.
- Scientific conferences that include the participation of undergraduate students.
- Scientific activities for children and youth.
- Scientific spaces and educational applications.
- Youth forums and debates.
Benefits
- Funding of up to JOD 30,000 per project.
- Support for projects lasting up to 12 months.
- Individuals, teams, and institutions may apply.
- Support for projects with cultural and knowledge-based impact in Jordan or Palestine.
- Priority is given to projects that include capacity building, sustainable impact, access to governorates, and digital content.
Eligibility criteria
- The applicant must be residing in Jordan or Palestine.
- All project activities must be implemented in Jordan and/or Palestine.
- Individuals may apply in their personal capacity.
- A team of two or more people may apply, provided that an authorized representative is identified.
- Companies, institutions, or organizations may apply, provided that a main applicant is identified and an authorization letter is attached when needed.
- The project must fall within one of the tracks of the Cultural Grants Program.
- Applicants must commit to contributing at least 10% of the total budget.
- The applicant must own the intellectual property rights of the project or submitted materials, where applicable.
