Silhouette Portraits Photo Contest offered by Photocrowd with Ranking Points as Prizes

Photocrowd is launching a photo contest, on the theme of "Silhouette Portraits", as each and everyone interested in creative photography is invited to take part in this contest.

This is a contest for people portraits, not animals. SIlhouettes offer an opportunity to focus on the outline, the shape of a subject, and in portraiture that means the shape of the whole body for full length portraiture, or if a bust portrait then often a side-on portrait that shows the contours of the face. Silhouettes are traditionally shot such that the subject is very dark, and the background lighting accentuates that, either by being correctly exposed, over-exposed, or through some clever lighting of the subject in the case of the header image for the contest.

This Premium Contest is worth 3x the standard points towards your Leaderboard ranking. It’s Expert-judged, but with no Crowd vote. Find out more about ranking points here. This contest is expert judged only with no rating by the crowd. You will be able to find out how you did when the judging or rating period has closed.
