The Global AI Challenge by Huawei with Prize Pool of $210.000

Huawei is accepting entries for Global AI Challenge. The GLOBAL AI CHALLENGE, which originally debuted in China in 2019, has expanded into an international contest since 2020. The annual event has attracted many participants from colleges and universities and acted as a hub for a wealth of innovative solutions created by the contest's participants, which owes much to their creative thinking, sophisticated design, and integrated development.

Now in 2022, the contest is back, and better than ever! We are anticipating that algorithm experts from around the world will sign up to the contest and pour their talent into a range of intriguing submissions!

This contest consists of 3 proposals (i.e. Proposal 1: Knowledge-driven spoken dialogue; Proposal 2: Intelligent quality inspection of lane rendering data; Proposal 3: CTR prediction through cross-domain data from ads and news feeds). The total award for each proposal is US$70,000, which is detailed as follows:

1. Champion x 1: US$35,000.
2. Fist runner-up x 1: US$15,000.
3. Second runner-up x 1: US$10,000.
4. Honorable mentions x 4: US$2,500.

• Full-time students who are formally enrolled at a higher-education institution and have registered as a developer on HUAWEI Developers, are eligible to enroll in the contest.
• Employees of Huawei and its affiliates, and their immediate relatives, are not eligible to participate in the contest.
• You can participate in the contest by creating your own team, or by joining a team. All members of the team must be based in the same geographic area. For details, please refer to the terms and conditions.
• Rules for setting up a team

1. Each contestant can join only 1 team.
2. Each team must have no more than 3 contestants (but can include 1 mentor who does not count toward this total).
3. Each team has a team leader who is responsible for team management (including reviewing applications from potential team members and removing team members) and submitting works.
4. Contestants can apply to join or leave teams.
5. The score for contest submissions belongs solely to the team. If a contestant leaves a team, the team's score will not be affected.

• Eligibility review rules

1. The organizing committee is responsible for reviewing the eligibility of contestants and teams.
2. Contestants must be full-time students studying at higher-education institutions. Mentors must be full-time teachers at higher-education institutions.
3. If a team member fails the review, the team will be immediately disqualified from participating in the contest or winning an award.

• There are 3 proposals in this competition. You can choose to submit works for any of the proposals.
