Opportunity description

Orange is offering a competition for Entrepreneurs and Startups to participate in Social Venture Prize in Jordan 2024. The competition, in its eighth edition, is concerned with projects that use technology in solving social challenges.

Winners from Jordan during the past years:

  • The winner of the 3rd prize in 2023 in the Orange Prize from Jordan was Heba Asaad with her SMART WTI project, which won a prize of 10,000 euros.
  • The winner of the 2022 Orange Prize from Jordan was Sawsan Al-Lubani with her project iROLE, which won a prize of 20,000 euros.
  • Their win shows the significant impacts that can be achieved through Jordanian entrepreneurs, and the innovative solutions that local entrepreneurs and startups in Jordan can bring to the global level.

Benefits

At the local level: The Orange offers three prizes to the winners:

  • First prize: 5000 Jordanian dinars.
  • Second prize: 3000 Jordanian dinars.
  • Third prize: 2000 Jordanian dinars.
  • The winners of the local competition will qualify to compete at the international level.

At the International level: The Orange offers three prizes to the winners:

  • First prize: 25,000 euros.
  • Second prize: 15,000 euros.
  • Third prize: 10,000 euros.
  • In addition to a prize for a project led by a female entrepreneur worth 20,000 euros in the same competition.





Eligibility criteria

  • Individual: you must be 21 or older on the competition’s launch date.
  • Legal entity: your company must have been operating for less than 3 years on the competition’s launch date.
  • Your project must be up and running in Jordan.
  • Your business idea is based on an innovative solution that uses ICT to contribute to meet the needs of people living in Jordan.
