The Trieste Contemporanea International Design Contest is an important global competition in the field of design, held biennially in Italy. It focuses on connecting design with culture, identity, and memory.
In the 2026 edition, the competition is titled “HOLD THE PLACE”, inviting participants to design a small functional object that reflects the relationship between people and place—emphasizing concepts such as memory, cultural identity, and personal experiences.
