Join the community beautification volunteer program in Vrontados, Greece and participate in projects to improve the public environment, such as building maintenance, garden decoration, and creative painting. This volunteer experience offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the local community, explore Greek culture, build international friendships, and learn new teamwork and leadership skills. The program is suitable for volunteers aged 18 and above, with accommodation and full support provided throughout the program.
The program covers:
- Accommodation: Shared housing near markets and essential facilities, with shared rooms and basic amenities.
- Airport pickup: Transportation from Chios Airport (JKH) to the accommodation upon arrival.
- Full support and guidance: Welcome session upon arrival, guidance throughout the program, and ongoing support during the volunteer experience.
- Certificate of participation: Official certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program.
- Free internet service: Available at the accommodation to facilitate communication or work if needed.
Duties & responsibilities
- General facility maintenance.
- Painting and graffiti work.
- Watering plants and garden care.
- Cleaning and organizing classrooms and schools.
- Other tasks depending on the community’s needs at any given time.
Eligibility criteria
- Volunteers must be over 18 years old.
- Basic proficiency in English for communication during the program.
- Ability to travel and arrange a visa if coming from outside the European Union.
- Ability to perform maintenance, decoration, and daily volunteer tasks (approximately 3–6 hours of work per day).
