Opportunity description
VILLA gGmbH, based in Leipzig, Germany, has announced that applications are now open for a funded international volunteering opportunity under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program for 2027. Volunteers will work at the Digital Media Workshop (Medienwerkstatt), which focuses on teaching children and young people skills in content creation, design, and media production.
The opportunity allows participants to take part in a volunteering experience from March 1, 2027, to February 29, 2028, contributing to creative and educational activities that combine technology, arts, and media. These activities include filmmaking, photography, graphic design, video editing, animation, programming, digital games, and podcast production.
The project aims to empower children and young people to use digital media creatively and develop their ability to express ideas through the production of images, videos, games, and interactive projects. The volunteer will work alongside the organization's team to support non-formal educational activities and participate in delivering workshops and media projects designed for young people.

Duties & responsibilities
The volunteer will participate in activities at the organization's Digital Media Workshop, which may include:
Assisting in delivering media workshops for children and young people.
Supporting filmmaking and video editing activities.
Participating in photography and photo editing projects.
Contributing to graphic design and visual production activities.
Supporting animation-related projects.
Participating in activities related to digital games and game design.
Assisting with educational activities related to programming and technology.
Supporting podcast production and audio content projects.
Contributing to digital culture and media literacy activities.
Participating in creative and interactive projects, such as educational escape rooms.
Collaborating with the organization's team and other volunteers to implement activities.
Participating in special events and activities focused on solidarity and community engagement.
