Volunteer Opportunity in UAE by CDA: Umm Suqeim Community Council

The Ataa Hamdan Volunteer Team is honored In cooperation with the Community Development Authority in DubaiAbout providing a field volunteer opportunity in the Dubai councils (Umm Suqeim Community Council) from October 15, 2021 until December 31, 2021, 4 - 10 pm.

1. Presence (Friday - Saturday) in the councils and receiving and welcoming the visitors of the councils.
2. Informing council leaders about council facilities.
3. Taking notes of council leaders.
4. Supervising the implementation of the agenda of events in the councils.
5. Distributing event questionnaires.

1. They must be of both sexes and citizens of the UAE.
2. It is preferable that the volunteer be from the same area in which the council is located.

Features:

1. Certificates of appreciation from the team.
2. Volunteer hours from the Community Development Authority.

Termination of the Volunteer Agreement:

The volunteer agreement ends in any of the following cases:

1. The expiration of the volunteer work or the expiration of the term of the volunteer agreement.
2. One of the parties to the Volunteer Agreement notifies the other party of its desire to terminate the Volunteering Agreement while it is still in force, provided that such notification is written and takes place within a reasonable period before the expiry of the period specified in the Volunteer Agreement.
3. A breach inflicted by one of the parties to the agreement of its obligations stipulated in the volunteering agreement.
4. The volunteer’s death or illness that prevents him/her from carrying out the volunteer work.
5. Sentencing the volunteer with a penalty restricting freedom by virtue of a final court ruling.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:

The volunteer shall be exempted from civil and criminal liability to the same extent enjoyed by the employee of the Volunteering Entity, provided that all necessary controls and conditions are met for exemption from liability, and in particular the following:

1. To be registered with the Authority.
2. The volunteer agreement concluded between volunteer and the volunteer entity is still valid.
3. Volunteer has had received adequate training, and that volunteer work should not exceed the work he/she was trained for.
4. That the Volunteer Work undertaken by him/her is in good faith, with the aim of carrying out the Volunteer Work specified in the Volunteer Agreement, and not to receive any reward or personal benefit.
5. There should be no negligence or error on the part of the Volunteer.

Volunteer Responsibility:

The Volunteering Entity shall be responsible to third parties for the results of the Volunteer Work performed by the Volunteer.

About Community Development Authority:

The Community Development Authority (CDA) was founded by a decree of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai in July 2008. CDA is responsible for setting up and developing a framework for social development, and aims to achieve the goals outlined in the Dubai Strategic Plans.
