Opportunity description
Worldpackers offers a volunteer opportunity to help at one of the best hostels in London. You can volunteer in this opportunity for only four days out of seven, with three days off per week, which you can use to explore the local area. This opportunity will also provide you with free accommodation in shared accommodation.
Duties & responsibilities
- The number of volunteer hours required for this opportunity is 20 hours per week.
- You will be responsible for helping to:
- Preparing, finishing and serving meals.
- Clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
- Change of bed linen and general housekeeping.
- Report errors or damages to a member of the lodge management team.
- Adhere to all food hygiene standards in food storage, preparation and delivery.
- Promote the sale of food and beverages in order to increase revenue for the hostel.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Basic English language skills.
- Housekeeping skills.
- A proactive approach to reviewing and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout the hostel.
- Be over 18 years old.
- A clear criminal record.
- You must be a solo volunteer (married or partnered volunteers will not be accepted for the opportunity).
